More is known about the surface of Mars than the bottom of the deep sea. So the team at Lobster Robotics, a Delft startup, wants to develop an underwater drone that can function at a depth of 6,000 meters to collect data of great value to science. They haven't reached that point yet, but in the meantime they already have a functioning specimen that can provide razor-sharp images of part of the seabed of the murky North Sea. Thanks in part to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
